Home in San Angel
San Angel, now part of southern Mexico City, was at one time a separate town. In the colonial era, as now, it was the residence of well-to-do Mexicans seeking to escape from the crowded center of Mexico City. Substantial homes like this one (a colonial-style building which may indeed date from that era) are still common in San Angel.
