MEChA is the official voice of Chicano/a students at the University of Oregon, MEChA's main objective is to provide a feeling of community and security, while increasing the recruitment and retention of Oregon Chicanos/as. The University of Oregon Library, as the largest research library of the state (over two million volumes) is a major resource for undergraduate instruction, graduate instruction, graduate and faculty research and service on the University of Oregon campus. The University Library is a member of the Association of Research Libraries, the only library in Oregon belonging to this organization. The Library’s collection in RL subjects increases every year with new acquisitions requested by faculty and graduate students.

Study Abroad
Overseas study in Mexico, Ecuador, and other Latin American countries may be arranged through the Department of Romance Languages or the Office of International Students and Exchange.
