Study Abroad

The UO offers more than 165 study abroad programs and 140 global internships in over 90 countries worldwide, with many opportunities in Latin America.

Every year, more and more UO students choose to study or intern in a Latin American country.  In addition to programs which offer Spanish language immersion, there are opportunities to study a wide variety of subjects, such as human rights in Argentina, revolution in Nicaragua, sustainability in Costa Rica, and many others.  Gaining experience through an internship is a great way to further your knowledge of Latin America and use your Spanish or Portuguese language skills in a professional environment. Placements vary, but UO students have developed their skill set by interning within the fields of journalism, pre-med, education, and international development, to name a few.

For more information about the multitude of programs, visit the UO Study Abroad Programs website: http://studyabroad.uoregon.edu/
